Ariel — On Human Legs (TFC-001), card one in The First Chapter
Ariel — On Human Legs. Card #1 in The First Chapter.

The First Chapter was the inaugural Disney Lorcana set. It introduced the ink system, questing, and the core mechanics. Ariel — On Human Legs (TFC-001) was card number one. The set had a notorious print shortage at launch — product sold out, prices spiked, and Ravensburger eventually increased print runs. Today, The First Chapter is more available, but early printings and sealed product still carry collector interest. We're not telling you to buy or sell — we're laying out the set and what to expect.

What The First Chapter contains

204 cards across six ink colors. Enchanted (full-art) versions of key characters. Staples like Ariel, Elsa, and Mickey in various forms. The set defined Lorcana's mechanical baseline — ink, quest, challenge, support. Cards from TFC remain relevant in competitive play; reprints in later sets have given some cards additional availability.

Sealed and singles

Booster boxes, starter decks, and gift sets were the main products. Reprint runs improved supply; you can find The First Chapter product at better availability and price than at launch. If you need specific cards, singles are usually cheaper than cracking. If you want sealed for drafting or collecting, check current market prices. We're not telling you to buy or sell — we're giving you the context. Happy questing.
