February 10, 2026 — The Magic Companion app is getting a meaningful upgrade. Player Profiles roll out the week of February 16: you'll be able to see your event history, bookmark your favorite stores, and get a dedicated inbox for important updates. By design, your profile is private — only you see it. No more digging through emails to find when the next Prerelease is; Companion will keep you on top of it.

What's in the profile

Event history — Your participation in organized play will show up in one place: event name, date, store, and when available, match results. It won't include the punt you made in the last round to miss Top 8. Just the record.

Favorite stores — You can mark stores you like and collect them in a Favorite Stores section. Handy for travel or when you're new in town. Wizards suggests picking the ones with the best food next door. We're not arguing.

Personalized inbox — Notifications for Prereleases, Store Championships, Friday Night Magic, and other notable events will land in an in-app inbox so you can check them on your own time. At launch this is app-only, not on the web portal. And they promise no spam — "we swear we won't spam you with images of Mulldrifter. Yet."

Bottom line

Companion is already the go-to for joining and running events. Player Profiles make it more useful for keeping track of where you've played and where you're playing next. If you use the app, the update is worth a look the week of February 16. Until next time — may your events be logged and your favorite stores be bookmarked.
