Ariel — On Human Legs, the First Chapter staple
Ariel — On Human Legs was card number one in The First Chapter. Four cost, 3 Strength, 4 Willpower, 2 Lore — and Voiceless, so she can't exert to sing songs. She's not the flashiest card in the set, but she's a foundational Amber character that still sees play in casual and competitive lists. Collectors want her for the "first card ever" status; players want her for the stats and the ink cost.
Why Ariel still matters
The First Chapter launched Lorcana in 2023. Ariel set the tone: a mid-cost character with solid stats and a clear drawback. Voiceless matters in a game where singing songs drives combos — but for straightforward questing and challenging, Ariel does the job. Amber has gotten stronger with later sets, but Ariel remains a budget-friendly option and a piece of Lorcana history. Enchanted versions of other TFC cards command the highest prices; the regular Ariel is more accessible but still part of the set's identity.
First Chapter and sealed
The First Chapter had a notorious print shortage at launch. Sealed product spiked; it's since been reprinted. Singles for Ariel and other TFC staples move with supply and demand. We're not telling you to buy or sell. We're laying out the card and the context. Ariel — On Human Legs: the first Lorcana card, and still part of the conversation.
